Today we are going to talk about cars. Everyone knows what a car is: the classic four wheels vehicle that every adult aims to have. Most of the people use to drive one daily to get their working places, to take children to school ot to go shopping. But how has the car achieved such an important role in our daily life? Let’s start talking about how it was invented. There’s not a single inventor, all the parts that make up the car have been created through the years by many different people. The modern car models are the latest level of evolution reached through a set of improvements of the older models. In the origin, ancient cars were used instead of animals to carry goods and materials. During the Renaissance some carts able to move automatically were designed, but didn’t actually work. Only at the end of the Eigtheenth century some functioning prototypes with a steam engine were developed. After the first World War the first petrol enignes were introduced and eventually applied to all common cars. In recent years, vehicles with engines that use an alternative energy source have been developed: the electric cars.
Cars and vehicles in general are now created and used for many different purposes: racing cars (such as Formula 1 ones), rally cars (aka monstertrucks or jeeps), and many more. In the future, many other objectives in the motoring world will be accomplished. One day these new and extraordinary inventions will change the quality of our lives, or maybe only of those who can afford something like that.
The electric cars:
One of the biggest modern world’s issues is pollution, a problem that increases every day because of human activities that have been practiced for a very long time and which are hard to stop exploiting. A big part of pollution is produced by vehicles that work with a petrol engine. For this reason, governments all around the world are pushing people to use electric vehicles to reduce the amount of CO2 released in the athmosphere. Electric cars could look like the way to go to reduce the pollution, but there are some pros and cons. The pros are that these cars have a really low energy consumption and people don’t have to spend as much money as before for the petrol since these cars have a battery that just needs to be connected to a control unit to be charged. The cons are that currently there aren’t many control units around expecially on the highways, which limits the use of these cars, and also the prices are very high. For these reasons their use will take a while to expand.
That’s all for today! See you in my next post.
